Colorado Springs Guide | U.S. Open TaeKwondDo Hanmadang

Must See and Must Do!

#1 Even if you are just passing through Colorado Springs, you can get this in!

Garden of the Gods!

Daniel and I had so much fun on our quick visit to the garden of the gods. We stopped at the first point where people parked in a parking lot and start their hike! We walked around for about 10 min and then continued to the next lookout that was just a little spot to pull off on the side of the road, but soo worth it! Our final stop was at the balancing rock! Its a great place for lots of beautiful photos. Plus you can pretend you are really strong and holding up a 10kilo rock!

#2 Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak is the place where the song “America the Beautiful was written from” There are many options to enjoy natures beauty on Pikes Peak, If I had time to explore it, I would have done,

#3 Seven Falls

I really wanted to see these beautiful water falls, and will be making a trip back to Colorado Springs just to add this to my check list of things that Ive done in CO springs. The falls are very close to the broadmore hotel and look like the perfect place to spend a spring for fall afternoon! Maybe even a great place during the summer as long as you can cool off in the water!

#4 Zip linning

Last time I was in CO I was told that the zip lining is amazing!! If you go, make sure to check it out and let me know what you think!!

#5 This is something extra we did, but you can do it anywhere.

Gun Range

I had never shot a gun, and I was lucky enough to know the sheriff and his wife in town. ( Shout out to the Claudios! ) So Daniel andI joined them for a bit at the gun range. I was nervous, but was glad that I learned how to shoot a gun for the first time with a professional.

Hotel

There is no other hotel that I would recommend in Colorado Springs other than the Broadmore Hotel! Oh my goodness gracious! I fell in love with this hotel the moment I saw it! The Broadmomre is the longest standing 5 star 5 diamond hotel in the world! There is so much I could say about the beauty of this hotel and the quality of its restaurants and spa and golfing. But you will just have to take my word for it and go check it out yourself! Oh and if you stop by, be sure to check out their wall of fame! You may see a familiar face 😉 right next to Hillary Clinton  towards the end of the wall of fame!

Now onto my experience at the U.S. Open Hanmadang.

Because of my life long involvment in TaeKwonDo, the US TaeKwonDo committee had me join them for the second year in a row! I was honored to speak at their opening ceremony, give a demonstration in front of thousands of people, and I was also their Key Note speaker at the gala on the last day. I’ve spent so much time with this group, and if you are looking for a TaeKwonDo school in your area, I would certainly suggest to look them up! They have schools all over the US! Thank you to Master Jay Lee and Grand Master Sang Chul Lee. Gambsamnida.

I have a brief overview of my trip on my youtube channel, you can check it out here! And I would love for you to subscribe to join me on this fun journey of life!  Love you all! Please let me know what you think about this post in the comments below!
