Step one- Create the perfect canvas! Aka your skin.
Anytime you are getting ready for a spray tan, you need to exfoliate. Make sure you exfoliate fully head to toe! You dont want any patches of dry skin that could make your tan uneven.
Step two- Dont put lotion on! You want to apply your spray tan at home immediately after you are dry after the shower. The tan wont stay on well if you apply lotion first.
Get your tan on!
No matter what at home tanner you are applying, read the instructions. If its a spray try your best to apply evenly and hold the can about 6 inches from your body. I also stand in the shower, so that clean up is a breeze. With any lotions or mouse tanners that you apply by hand, make sure you wash your hands very well. Focus on getting in between the fingers and get any left over lotion fully removed.

How to KEEP a beautiful spray tan.
Once your spray tan is applied. DRY OFF fully!! If you have a big fan at home you can stand in front of that. If not, just use your hair dryer to dry yourself head to toe! Once I have my spray tan dry, if I need to head out of the house, I just throw a piece of loose dark clothing on to head out. But make sure you don’t sweat! Because your spray tan will come off before you are supposed to. #SummerProbs
To keep my tan lasting a long time. I always take a warm bath with coconut oil the next day so that my skin doesnt dry out. (I have dry skin, and spray tans usually make it worse)
The coconut oil bath locks in the color and moisture for me. Then after that I make sure to moisturise every day before I leave the house and before I go to bed!
For my tan to fade evenly and not look blotchy, on day 3 I lightly exfoliate every day, so that it comes off slowly but surely. and all over instead of in patches!
So there you have it!! That is my best advice for how to get and keep a spray tan!
